What is the Training Week?

The Training Week is an intensive but flexible freediving program combining:

  • 5x Open water training sessions

  • Afternoon workshops and activities

  • A social fundive day

  • Technique development and personalized coaching

Each morning is dedicated to open water training, while afternoons offer sessions designed to improve different aspects of freediving performance and recovery.

Participants can join as many or as few afternoon activities as they wish.

Many of the afternoon activities are also open to other divers who are not participating in the full training week.

Spend a week training, learning, and diving with a motivated community of freedivers. Improve your skills, gain new knowledge, and create unforgettable underwater memories.

Program Highlights

Morning Sessions – Open Water Training

Every morning we focus on Basic Training Sessions. Sessions are adapted to the level of each diver and may include wonstant weight technique, free immersion technique, equalization practice, depth progression, dive relaxation and efficiency, personal coaching and feedback.

Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where divers can safely progress while building confidence and consistency.

Fundive Day – A Break From Training

During the week we include a special fundive day.

This day is designed to take a break from structured training and focus on enjoying the ocean together.

Depending on conditions and the group level, the day may include diving from a boat or exploring new dive spots, diving from shore with a short hike or scenic viewpoint, relaxed social dives, underwater photos and videos, dinner stop at a local restaurant.

The goal is simple: enjoy freediving without pressure and create memorable moments together.

Pool Technique Session

Pool sessions allow us to focus on technique and efficiency in a controlled environment.

Possible session formats include, underwater technique filming and analysis, dynamic apnea training, static apnea tables, kick/stroke efficiency improvements.

These sessions are also a great introduction to structured apnea training methods.

Equalization Workshop

A structured workshop focused on one of the most important freediving skills: equalization.

The session includes practical exercises of Frenzel vs Valsalva techniques, controlled glottis and pressure management, mouthfill exercises, practical exercises using tools such as EQ training device.

This workshop is especially useful for divers who struggle with equalization or want to refine their technique.

Dry Training Session

Dry sessions focus on training methods that improve freediving performance outside the water.

Activities may include static apnea training, apnea walks, visualization techniques for diving, free immersion technique practice using training tools.

These sessions help divers develop mental control, breath-hold capacity, and efficient movement patterns.

Stretching for Freedivers

Stretching is an important part of improving comfort and efficiency in freediving.

This session focuses on full body flexibility, diaphragm mobility, lung and rib cage stretching, relaxation techniques.

Exercises may include both full lung and empty lung stretching, depending on participant level.

Each session includes explanation of why the exercises work, safety considerations, and proper technique.

Yoga for Freedivers

A guided yoga session helps freedivers improve breathing control, flexibility, body awareness, recovery after diving. Sessions are suitable for all levels.
