Discover spearfishing
This program is designed for anyone who wants to learn the basics of spearfishing. You will be introduced to the techniques, equipment, and safety principles with guidance from a certified and experienced spearfishing instructor throughout the experience.
Whether you are trying spearfishing for the first time, looking for a new activity during your holiday, or interested in learning more about the sport, this experience offers a practical introduction to the world of spearfishing and a deeper appreciation of the sea and marine life.
Suitable for beginners with no previous spearfishing experience required.

Upon course registration we will send you course materials in a digital format.
Equipment included
During the course, you will get all the equipment needed for your course.
Certification card
After successful course completion you will receive a digital certification card.
Diving insurance
Diving insurance is included in the course price.
What will you learn?
During the practical part of the program, participants will practice and gain their first experience in the following areas:
- Adjusting and fitting spearfishing equipment
- Safe handling of a speargun, including arming and disarming procedures
- Basic inspection and maintenance of a speargun
- Safety procedures and awareness while at sea
- Performing the duck dive while carrying a speargun
- Basic aiming and target practice exercises with a speargun
These practical sessions are conducted under the close supervision of an experienced instructor, allowing participants to become familiar with the equipment and techniques in a safe and controlled environment.
The divesite is located less than 10min drive with our RIB from the centre. Our facilities offer warm showers, changing room & lockers, so we can arrive to the divesite prepared and ready to jump in the water.

About Spearfishing Instructors
SI (Spearfishing Instructors) is an established global Spearfishing Education Organization; it is the first ever of its kind, specialized, strictly Spearfishing Education Organization, aiming to provide high quality training and education services to Spearos around the world. the organization was founded by Manolis Giankos, freediving and spearfishing world champion.
Course Schedule
Day 1
9:00 AM Welcome Meeting
After meeting with instructor you will sign the required paperwork in order to start the course.
9:15 AM Theory Session
Academic session (Basic equipment, Maritime environment, Dangers and safety measures).
11:00 AM Practical Session
Handling a speargun.
12:00 AM Lunch Break
3:00 PM Practical Session
Safety in the sea, U/W shooting.
*This session can be organised also on day 2.
4:00 PM Debrief
* Day 2
8:30 AM Practical Session
Safety in the sea, U/W shooting.
10:00 AM Debrief and Course conclusion
