What will you learn?
Discover the underwater world and become a safe, confident freediver in just 3 days! The Molchanovs Wave 1 Beginner Freediver course provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely participate in recreational freediving autonomously with a buddy.
The Molchanovs Wave 1 Beginner Freediver course covers:
- Knowledge Development sessions – Learn the fundamentals of freediving, including freediving principles and techniques.
- Confined Water sessions – Practice breath-hold techniques, Static apnea (1min 30sec), and Dynamic apnea in the pool.
- Open Water sessions – Perform Free Immersion and Constant Weight freedives (12-20m), and learn proper safety and rescue procedures (6-10m).
Upon completion, you will have access to the Molchanovs Dashboard platform with weekly Base Training workouts to continue your freediving journey. Take the plunge and unlock a new world beneath the waves!

Upon course registration we will send you course materials in a digital format.
Equipment included
During the course, you will get all the equipment needed for your course.
Certification card
After successful course completion you will receive a digital certification card.
Diving insurance
Diving insurance is included in the course price.
The divesite is located less than 10min drive with our RIB from the centre. Our facilities offer warm showers, changing room & lockers, so we can arrive to the divesite prepared and ready to jump in the water.

Course Schedule
Day 1
1:00 PM Welcome Meeting
After meeting with instructor you will sign the required paperwork in order to start the course.1:15 PM Theory Session 1
Physics of freediving. Physiology of freediving. Breathing and relaxation. Equalising for freediving. Freediving technique.3:00pm Breath-hold Session
Relaxation and breath-hold practice.4:00pm Confined Water Session 1
Static Apnea practice – Relaxation, Breath-hold, Recovery. Buddying. Rescue procedures.*This session can be organised also on day 2.5:30pm Confined Water Session 2
Dynamic Apnea practice – Neutral buoyancy, Entry, Dynamic Bi-fins (DYNB) finning technique, Turn, Introduce and practice Dynamic No-Fins (DNF) technique. Buddying. Rescue procedures.*This session can be organised also on day 2.7:00 PM Debrief
Day 2
*8:30 AM Confined Water Session 1
*9:30 AM Confined Water Session 2
10:30 AM Open Water Session 1
Setting surface buoyancy. Use of lanyard. Practice equalization with Free Immersion (FIM). Constant Weight dive to a depth of 12m.12:00 PM Lunch Break
2:00 PM Theory Session 2
Mammalian diving reflex, Freediving skills, Introduction to Molchanovs Base Training, Potential trauma, Safety and Rescue.5:00 PM Debrief
Day 3
9:30 AM Open Water Session 2
Practice Constant Weight, Buddy and Rescue procedures.12:00pm Lunch Break
2:00pm Final Exam
Final theory exam.Day 4
