Regulations
Booking a course or training with us, involves the acceptance of every point of this regulations and safety measures.
The Kalamata Freedivers management reserves the right not to allow participation in diving activities to those who have previously violated the norms of this regulation.
- Training price does not include equipment rental. Use of equipment is included in all the courses.
- In order to confirm your booking, we require 50% deposit from the final product price.
- For the liability reasons, the Kalamata Freedivers does not rent/borrow safety lanyards.
- Coupons (single or multiple in package) for training sessions are valid for 1 year from the date of the first used session.
- The coupons validity can only be extended in exceptional cases (severe medical condition, urgent travel home, etc.) but maximum to 2 year from the purchase date.
- Single training coupon is valid for a single person and for a single training session.
- Training coupons are personal and non-transferable to third parties.
- Only the reservation ensures access to the training, which needs to be done 1 day in advance with a deadline at 5:00 PM. Once the reservation is completed, the coupon is not refundable.
- In case the training session is canceled because of abnormal situations (bad weather, boat failure, etc), the coupon is not charged.
Booking cancellations & refunds
You may cancel your booking by notifying us by email or WhatsApp.
Refunds for deposits or pre-paid training sessions and educational courses are possible if the booking is cancelled more than 30 calendar days before the booked date of the course/training.
For cancellations received 30 days or less before the booked date of the course/training, payment is non-refundable.
Safety measures
Safety is our primary concern. In order to provide the safest training environment possible, please adhere to the following rules:
- Before diving with us, the diver needs to fill-in the registration form (liability and medical statement).
- Diving Insurance is provided only to students of educational courses. Freedivers taking part in training sessions need to provide their own diving insurance.
- Diving is allowed only when accompanied by a Kalamata Freedivers staff instructor.
- The diver is responsible of informing the Kalamata Freedivers staff instructor about his diveplan.
- Diving is allowed only on the buoy or main line. The buoy must be attached to the surface line at all times.
- Open line diving is not permitted.
- Personal lanyards are mandatory for all dives and must comply with AIDA safety standards.
- Divers are not allowed to remove their lanyard during a dive unless a safety concern arises.
- Decompression O2 stop is available at depth (max 5m) for Scuba Certified divers or at surface for non Scuba Certified divers.
- The lanyard must be used during the decompression stop, attached to the deco line.
- Repetitive dives: 50-55m (max 3 dives with 20min+ break), 55-65m (max 2 dives with 30min+ break), 65m or deeper (max 1 dive/session)
- In case of lung injury (barotrauma – squeeze) continuation of diving is allowed only with a medical clearance
