Kalamata is easy to reach from Athens and other major Greek cities, making it a convenient destination for international travelers.

Kalamata Freedivers is located in the Marina of Kalamata, directly on the seafront, offering easy access to dive sites with unlimited depth. Our main freediving spots are reached in less than five minutes by speedboat, allowing more time in the water and less travel time.

The marina area features a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and bars, making it a great place to relax between dives. With ample parking and easy access to taxis and buses, the location is also ideal for non-diving partners who want to enjoy the area while you train.

Fly to Kalamata

Kalamata International Airport (KLX) is connecting most of the European countries during the season, with direct routes from Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, London, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris, Stockholm, Venice, Vienna, Zurich and many more. Rent a car

Having your own car will give you the most flexibility. Kalamata is approximately 3 hours away from Athens Airport and 3 hours away from Patras Ferry terminal. Best offers for car rentals are avaliable online with a direct pick up from the airport terminal. Check AVIS, Sixt, Hertz, Budget or many other known agencies.

Bus from Athens

Traveling by bus from Athens to Kalamata is the most affordable way. Busses depart from Kifissos bus station multiple times per day. The bus journey takes around 3 hours. To arrive at Kifissos bus station, take X93 bus from Athens Airport. More info about busses and ticket booking here.

FACILITIES

MODERN AND RELIABLE

Our dive centre facilities include changing rooms with hot showers and toilets, personal equipment storage, and dedicated washing and drying areas.

As you enter the dive centre, you’ll be welcomed at a central reception desk, where our friendly team is always available to assist with questions, bookings, and course information.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable classroom for courses, workshops, and masterclasses, with chairs, beanbags, and cushions. A large terrace is available for stretching, yoga sessions (mats and blocks provided), or simply relaxing after dives in a hammock with a home-brewed coffee.

We provide top-quality freediving equipment for rental, and our on-site freediving shop has everything you need if you prefer to use your own gear.

The outdoor training area includes pull-up bars, kettlebells, and an endless rope for free-immersion practice, allowing you to train both in and out of the water.
