DEPTH GAMES 2023

KALAMATA FREEDIVERS DEPTH CUP - JUNE

29 June . 1 July

Kalamata Freedivers located in the Marina of Kalamata, directly on the sea front, with an easy entrance to the dive site with unlimited depth, within 5 minutes driving from the shore with a speed boat.

Diving conditions in Kalamata bay are one of the most stable and consistent in Europe. Without currents, absolutely zero waves, water temperature around 27-28°C in summer and no significant thermoclines.

The dive centre facilities include a changing area with hot showers and toilets, personal equipment storage and equipment washing and hanging area.

Top quality freediving equipment is available for hire if you do not wish to bring your own.

A wide selection of shops, restaurants and bars are to be found in the harbour, making it a great location to spend the day, or have lunch between dives. Non-diving partners will love this popular location as well. Ample car parking is available, and the harbour is also adequately served by taxis and buses if required.

OUR SETUP

MODERN AND RELIABLE

Our fleet consists of two boats. The 8m RIB with 250HP engine is used as a main boat and capable of carrying up to 15 divers. On the deck a motorized counter balance system is installed, which is capable of retrieving a diver from depth with a speed of 1.5m/s.

The competition setup with 150m rope is equipped with a depth sonar for monitoring deep dives. We are also using underwater scooter for deep safeties. Oxygen for decompression is available on board.

The second boat is a 5m RIB with 90HP engine, fast and reliable, which is used as an emergency (evacuation) boat. It serves also as a transfer boat, capable of carrying up to 7 divers.

Both boats are equipped with first aid kit and emergency O2.
